When posts are made the signature will link to another site. After a few hundred posts, a person will become an "expert", if people value what is said by them. This is one of the main advanteges of forum posting because traffic will come to a site since from the foeum since they like the experts information and they want to see more.
All the tactics from these strategies will lead to traffic as well as an increase the amount of links to a website.
