A Dating Pick-Up Line That Works

There are plenty of hurdles to cross in the singles steeplechase. But perhaps the most stressful obstacle is asking someone out for a first date. This is not the time for some corny line such as, "Would you like to download my pants?"

The only thing worse than being on the receiving end of a cringe-worthy pick-up line is using one yourself and getting an ego-shattering knock back.

So don't risk it with some cheesy Ms/Mr Goodbar repartee when there's an all-purpose line you can use, that, while not guaranteed to get you a date with your lust object, decreases your chances of becoming a singles bar laughing stock.

And since I know you're dying with anticipation, here it is: "Let's get together and do something sometime."

Pretty straight forward huh? But the line's simplicity belies its ability to show your interest and cover your butt at the same time.

Because you're making a statement, not asking a question, you don't set yourself up for a rejection. Also, the line gives the impression of a casual meeting, not a high pressure date situation.

You'll know straight away from the recipient's reaction whether they are interested or not. If you get a positive response you can work out the details; if not you can just let it slide and change the topic of conversation.
